

When you have a track set to the correct input and output, record enable it, press the small R (or record circle) button on the track, and see if you get signal into that track, setting the gain on your audio interface appropriately to give a good level, on that Pro Tools track level meter, without clipping. Then you set the input and output for each track, using the dropdown boxes that are shown when you click on the input or output boxes in the IO section of the Pro Tools Mix or Edit windows.
